Axios: New version of the US peace plan for Ukraine included tougher conditions

The new version of the peace plan, discussed during a phone call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US Special Envoy Stephen Witkoff, provides for tougher conditions on territorial concessions. This was announced on December 9 in an interview with Axios by an unnamed Ukrainian official.

"The Ukrainian official stated that the US proposal included tougher conditions than previous versions on issues such as the territory and control of the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia," the publication says.

It is noted that the new plan does not specify how security guarantees for Ukraine will be provided by the United States. The official also expressed concern about this.
