Lithuania uses provocations on the Belarusian border to receive financial assistance from the European Union (EU). This was announced on December 7 by Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov on the First Information TV channel.
"They (the Lithuanian government. — Ed.) there is a good teacher — Poland. To play with provocations on the [Belarusian] border in order to then "shake" some appeals in Europe and ask for money," he said.
