The European Commission (EC) has proposed to provide Kiev with a loan from Russia's frozen assets in the amount of €165 billion. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on December 3, citing relevant documents.

"The European Commission proposes to allocate funds to Ukraine...> a loan of €165 billion using the monetary value of frozen Russian state assets held in Belgium," the publication says.

It is specified that the commission has sent legal proposals to the countries of the association on the expropriation of assets of the Russian Federation.
