Igor Palmin, a classic photographer, died at the age of 93. This was reported by his widow Svetlana Palmina.

"Yes, it's true. He died this morning," she told TASS.

Palmin's widow added that his funeral will be held on November 6 at the Nikolo-Arkhangelskoye Cemetery in the Moscow region.

Igor Palmin was born in 1933 in Stalingrad (now Volgograd). In 1955, he graduated from the Geological Faculty of Voronezh State University, and then received an education at the VGIK Faculty of Engineering.

Over the years, he worked in television, in the Laboratory of Scientific and Applied Photography and Cinematography of the USSR Academy of Sciences, as well as in the publishing houses "Art", "Soviet Artist", "Soviet Writer" and in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

Russian Russian Art In 2003, Palmin was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art for the design of the books "Russian Modernism" and "Russian Neoclassicism".
