A court has sentenced a minor to six years in prison for the murder of a 13-year-old girl in the village of Tumkino, Ulyanovsk region. This was reported on September 19 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

According to the press service of the department, the crime was committed in April 2025. A teenager entered the courtyard of the girl's house at night and, out of personal hostility, struck her multiple times on the head, neck and body, using various objects, including an axe. The victim died on the spot, after which the teenager dumped her body in the cellar.

"During the investigation, the minor was isolated from society at the request of the investigator. By the verdict of the court, he was sentenced to six years in prison, taking into account the provisions of the legislation regulating the imposition of punishment on minors," the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee for the Ulyanovsk region notes.

Earlier, on September 5, a teenager accused of murdering his mother with a hammer was taken into custody in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It was clarified that the young man, being in an apartment building on Novaya Street, struck his mother on the head with a hammer, after which he disappeared. The woman died at the scene.
