US President Donald Trump has unveiled a new plan to support American farmers, providing for the allocation of $12 billion from proceeds from import duties. He stated this on December 8, speaking at a round table on financial assistance to farmers.

According to Trump, the country receives "hundreds of billions of dollars from duties," and part of these funds will be used to help farmers.

"We will use this money to allocate $12 billion in economic aid to American farmers," he stressed.

Earlier, on November 27, it was reported that Donald Trump admits the possibility of a significant reduction or complete abolition of income tax in the United States. He noted that in this case, duties may become the main source of replenishment of the budget of the United States.
