The Verkhovna Rada reported on a possible travel ban for some men
Next year, the Verkhovna Rada may consider a bill providing for a temporary ban on leaving the country for men who have not updated their credentials at the military enlistment office. This was announced on December 6 by Rada deputy Roman Kostenko.
"[Consideration of the bill] is possible next year. It is not on the agenda yet," he said on the Ukrainian Public television channel.
The MP considers such a ban "fair." According to him, some citizens took advantage of the opportunity to receive a reservation from the mobilization to leave the country. In this regard, the travel ban is considered as a precautionary measure to prevent similar cases in the future.
Mikhail Sedorak, a soldier of the 38th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who surrendered to the Center group of forces during the fighting in the Red Army area, said on December 6 that the staff of the shopping mall mobilizes Ukrainians right on the street and sends them to the front, without checking their health. According to the militant, he found himself in the service "virtually by accident."
