Pushkov reported on Europe's fear of remaining outside the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine

There is growing concern in Europe that she may be excluded from the process of resolving the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated on December 6 by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council.

"There is growing concern in Europe that it will be left out of the Ukrainian settlement. They accuse [US President Donald] Trump is guilty of all his sins, including the fact that he is "not at all interested in Eastern Europe, including Poland and Ukraine." I think this is a big exaggeration," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The senator stressed that Europe mainly creates problems, costs and security threats for the United States. He also noted that the American leader clearly does not believe in the possibility of inflicting a "strategic defeat on Russia."

On the same day, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that the United States deliberately excluded Europe from negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement. It was noted that an additional sign of disregard was the sudden decision of the American delegation to cancel a meeting with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in Brussels after the visit of US Special envoy Steven Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to Moscow.

Before that, on December 4, the German magazine Der Spiegel reported that Macron, during a telephone conversation with the leaders of the European Union (EU), expressed doubts that the United States would be able to guarantee Ukraine the necessary security and protect its territorial integrity. It was clarified that the American 28-point peace plan was discussed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, noted on December 2 that no one had excluded Europe from negotiations on Ukraine, they themselves had stopped contacts with the Russian Federation. According to him, European countries are dissatisfied with the current results and are now preventing the US presidential administration from reaching a peaceful settlement.
