Family and childhood
The artist was born on December 8, 1945 in Moscow. His father, Yuri Viktorovich, worked as a radio engineer, and his mother, Marta Borisovna, was a teacher. The actor's great-grandfather, Pavel Pavlovich Steblov, was of noble origin. He served as a full state councilor and was a deputy of the City Duma of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl province (now the second largest city in the Yaroslavl region).
It is noteworthy that the leader of the nobility in Rybinsk at that time was Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov, the great—uncle of future directors Nikita Mikhalkov and Andrei Konchalovsky, which later symbolically intertwined in the destinies of their descendants.
In an interview, the actor said that he had known Nikita Mikhalkov since high school, when both studied in the studio at the Stanislavsky Theater. Awards and achievements
Evgeny Steblov's contribution to Russian culture has been recognized with high state and professional awards. The actor was awarded the Orders of Honor (1998), "For Services to the Fatherland" of the IV degree (2006) and Friendship (2017), and was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the President of the Russian Federation (2021). In 1993, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.

Personal life
Evgeny Steblov was married twice. His first wife, Tatiana Osipova, worked as a financier and was far from the theatrical environment. They met at a mutual friend's birthday party. The marriage lasted 38 years. In 2010, shortly before the actor's 65th birthday, Tatiana died after suffering several heart attacks.
A year later, in 2011, Steblov entered into a second marriage. His chosen one was Lyubov Glebova, who is 12 years younger than the actor. As the actor later explained, one of the reasons for the divorce was his second wife's jealousy of the memory of his first wife, Tatiana.
From his first marriage, Evgeny Steblov has a son, Sergey (born 1973). He graduated from drama school, starred in films and worked as a director, following in his father's footsteps. However, he subsequently radically changed his life: he took monastic vows with the name Photius and now serves in the Solovetsky Transfiguration Monastery.
