The entourage of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, advises him to dismiss the head of the office, Andrei Ermak, because of a corruption scandal. The online publication Ukrainska Pravda (UP) writes about this on November 18, citing sources.

According to the source, the number of deputies in the Verkhovna Rada who want Yermak's dismissal prevails.

"It's easier to count people who wouldn't ask for Ermak's resignation. In the Servant of the People party, some even threaten to leave the faction if the head of the president's office is not fired," the source said.

At the same time, as noted in the article, Ermak himself convinces the president that the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring), who has been in the SBU pre-trial detention center for three years, may be behind the corruption scandal. According to sources, "finding an enemy in order not to admit guilt is one of the favorite tactics of the staff of the president's office."

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed a money laundering scheme in the country's energy sector, through which about $100 million passed. Seven people were charged in the case of corruption in the energy sector, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).

Prior to that, on November 17, the Ukrainian parties Eurosolidarity and Golos officially announced their demands to Zelensky for the resignation of Ermak and the government. The party's statement also noted that the situation with corruption in the highest echelons of government is absolutely extraordinary and will lead to disaster.
