Askold Zapashny declared his readiness to stand up for the Motherland

People's Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus Askold Zapashny, responding to a question from the host of the project "Soryan, this is a podcast" about the role of creative people in modern realities, stressed that it is important to benefit where you are needed, and also expressed his willingness to defend the Motherland.

"If the country needs me as a fighter, I'm ready. But it seems to me that I am much more useful as an artist and an influential person, and we prove this with our actions. We went on tour to Lugansk and Donetsk, and close to the "ribbon" in order to help the guys. We constantly provide financial assistance, and we support you as much as we can," the artist shared.

At the same time, Zapashny stressed that, if necessary, he was ready to join the ranks of the special operation fighters and expressed the opinion that the artists should "filter" their words.

Actor Gleb Kalyuzhny joined the army on May 27.
