Court Worker's Day will be celebrated in Russia for the first time
Court Employee Day will be celebrated in Russia for the first time. The relevant decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and published on October 26 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"The Government of the Russian Federation decides to establish a professional holiday — Court Employee's Day and celebrate it on November 5," the document says.
Igor Krasnov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia, took the initiative to set the date of the holiday, addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The date of the Court Employee's Day celebration, November 5, was not chosen by chance. It coincides with the publication in 1723 by Peter the Great of the historical decree "On the form of the court." This decree became the cornerstone for the formation of the judicial system, defining such important principles as the procedure for conducting cases, the need for the presence of both parties in civil and criminal proceedings, as well as the rules for summoning and applying measures of influence to participants in the proceedings.
Earlier, on November 2, it became known about the approval of a new holiday in Russia — Welder's Day. It was specified that the holiday will be celebrated in late spring.
