Over the past day, 302 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 39 people were killed and 347 injured. This was reported to Izvestia on October 31 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

As a result of 107 accidents involving pedestrians, 12 people were killed, and 96 more were injured in various degrees of severity. There are 12 children among the injured, five of them were injured at pedestrian crossings, and seven were injured outside the pedestrian crossing. Of the total number of pedestrian incidents, 49 occurred at pedestrian crossings and 58 outside their area of operation. There were 21 accidents involving buses, in which two people were killed and 21 road users, including one child, required medical attention. Six bus accidents were caused by traffic violations by their drivers.

In addition, 32 accidents involving minors were registered over the past day, as a result of which four children were killed and 37 young road users were injured, including 20 passengers, one cyclist and three motor transport drivers.

For example, in Volgograd, a 15-year-old driver who did not have a driver's license drove an unregistered passenger car off the road into a lake when turning left. The accident killed the driver and his 15-year-old passenger, who was in the front passenger seat and was not wearing a seat belt. Two more minor passengers, aged 15 and 14, who were in the back seat and also not wearing seat belts, were injured and were hospitalized.

In the Krasnodar Territory, on the 8th km of the federal highway A-148, a 62-year-old female driver, driving a passenger car, collided with an electric scooter driven by a 9-year-old boy moving in the same direction. After the collision, the child was thrown into a car moving in the opposite direction. As a result of an accident, a minor user of an individual mobility aid died.

In the Sverdlovsk region, during the daytime, on the 74th km of the federal highway R-354 Yekaterinburg - Shadrinsk —Kurgan, a 35—year-old driver, driving a crossover, overook into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck moving in the opposite direction. As a result of the accident, the driver of the crossover and his two passengers were killed, including a five-year-old child who was in the back seat and was wearing a seat belt without a child restraint.

Due to adverse weather conditions, temporary traffic restrictions for vehicles continue to be introduced in a number of regions of the country. Thus, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, due to snowfall and ice, bus traffic is temporarily restricted on sections of highways of regional significance "Epishino - Severo—Yeniseisky" from 123 to 291 km and "Severo-Yeniseisky - Velmo" from 0 to 95 km. In addition, in the Jewish Autonomous Region, due to snowfall and ice, a temporary traffic restriction was introduced for buses on the section of the federal highway R-297 Amur (Chita — Nevers — Svobodny — Arkhara — Birobidzhan — Khabarovsk) from 1752 to 2103 km, as well as on three highways of regional significance..

The State Traffic Inspectorate called on parents to strictly monitor and stop attempts by children and teenagers to get behind the wheel on their own, as well as to exclude access to keys for cars, mopeds and motorcycles, prohibiting driving without a license and driving skills.

"Remember that the lack of control over the behavior and leisure of children during the autumn holidays, especially in the evening, often leads to injuries or deaths of young road users.
