On the evening of October 27, on Chekhov Street in Revda, a 37-year-old Lada car driver lost control and ran over three girls who were on the sidewalk. According to the traffic police, the children were waiting for a traffic light signal in front of a pedestrian crossing. After the collision, the car continued to move and crashed into the store building. Two girls, aged seven and nine, died on the spot as a result of their injuries, and another 10-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Valery Gorelykh, an official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sverdlovsk region, confirmed that the driver was intoxicated. The identity of the culprit has been established — this is a native of Revda, born in 1988, named Mikhail, who had no previous criminal record.
