A woman died in a fire in a two-apartment building in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the Motyginsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a woman died as a result of a fire in an apartment building. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The fire occurred the day before, on October 20, in a semi-detached apartment building in the village of Novoangarsk. By the time rescuers arrived, one apartment was completely engulfed in flames, and five people evacuated from the second.

According to eyewitnesses, a woman remained in the apartment that caught fire. Rescuers who entered the room found her dead, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

The investigator of the Ministry of Emergency Situations found out that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in an electric heating boiler. The fire area was 130 square meters. m. 13 people and five pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

On the night of October 18, four people died as a result of a fire in a multi-storey building in Novosibirsk. Law enforcement agencies consider arson to be the main cause of the incident.
