Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the CEO of Dom.Vitaly Mutko called the transition to project financing in the construction sector the right decision.

"You insisted on transferring the industry to project financing. I believe that this is a basic solution, and for all these difficult years and a half, the construction site has been feeling dynamically. Currently, there are almost 119 million square meters under construction. For housing, project financing has been opened for 21 trillion, 9.7 is in rhythmic financing. This mechanism is very balancing for housing construction. Therefore, of course, I believe that this is a fundamental reform," Mutko said.

In response, Putin said that the decision was the right one.
