Immediately, 80% of those cars that buyers of new Lada Iskra are ready to put into trade-in are accounted for by other models of the same brand. This was reported on October 9 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing data from the Pragmatika dealer network.

Lada Granta accounts for the bulk of the volume, but there are also cases when owners of Niva and Vesta cars in basic configurations are ready to part with them for the sake of the newest AvtoVAZ model.

The remaining 20% are foreign cars, almost all of them are over 15 years old. Among the owners of foreign cars, they mostly want to exchange Skoda or Chevrolet sedans for the new Iskra.

Sales of the Tolyatti-made Lada Iskra started on July 20. The Iskra sedan costs from 1.25 million rubles in the basic configuration with a manual transmission. The most expensive modification of the model, the raised SW Cross station wagon in the maximum configuration with a CVT, was estimated at 1.8 million rubles.

In September, mass production of Lada Iskra cars started at the Avtozavod Saint Petersburg production site, where Nissan and Xcite cars were previously produced.
