Hyundai driver killed pedestrian in Stavropol region
On the federal highway "Kavkaz" in the Stavropol Territory, a driver killed a pedestrian. This was announced on August 17 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region.
"At the 310th kilometer of the federal highway Kavkaz, the driver of a Hyundai car, moving from Mineralnye Vody in the direction of Nevinnomyssk, hit a pedestrian crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing," the agency said in a Telegram post.
It is specified that the 50-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries. The department noted that the man was outside the village without reflective inserts on his clothes.
The driver of the car was a 63-year-old woman, who, according to the agency, had previously been prosecuted for traffic violations 18 times. Police officers and an investigative task force are working at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
On August 17, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Sverdlovsk region reported four deaths as a result of an accident. It was clarified that as a result of the incident, a truck collided with a Scania semi-trailer and a Chery passenger car.
