At least eight people have died and four more are missing as a result of flooding in China. This was reported on August 17 by the Reuters news agency, citing Chinese media.

It is specified that the flood occurred around 22:00 (17:00 Moscow time) on August 16 in the northern region of Inner Mongolia. People caught in a natural disaster went camping, at the moment only one person is known to have been evacuated from the scene of the tragedy. The search for four more missing persons continues, the media reported.
On August 9, the Xinhua news agency reported 13 deaths as a result of flooding in Gansu Province. It was clarified that the organizational department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) allocated 32 million yuan to the provinces of Gansu and Guangxi to support flood control efforts.
