Zelensky was criticized in the United States for believing in his own invulnerability
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes in his own invulnerability and, based on this, does "whatever he wants." This was announced on July 24 by retired US Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis on the Deep Dive channel on YouTube.
"I think he's got it into his head that he's bulletproof and can literally do whatever he wants," Davis said.
According to him, Zelensky could be guided by such judgments about his own invulnerability when he made a decision to limit the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
The ex-serviceman suggested that the high opinion of the Ukrainian leader about himself can be fueled by the countries of the European Union (EU), which greet him with a "standing ovation" during visits to their capitals.
On July 23, the law on limiting the powers of the NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) came into force in Ukraine. A day earlier, mass protests had begun in connection with its adoption.
Already on July 24, more than 9,000 people in Kiev held large-scale rallies against the persecution of anti-corruption services. At that time, the protesters declared their readiness to take to the streets every day if their demands to the authorities were not taken into account.
