"In the period from 1 p.m. on July 19 to the end of the day, short-term rain is expected in Moscow, with heavy rain in some places. Thunderstorms in some areas. During a thunderstorm, wind gusts up to 17 m/s," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations recommended parking cars in safe places, avoiding unstable structures and not leaving children unattended.

Experts predict that the rains will last until the end of the week.

On this day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that cloudy weather with clarifications, short-term rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Moscow on Saturday, July 19. Easterly and southeasterly winds of 6-11 m/s are expected, with gusts of up to 15 m/s in a thunderstorm.
