In the Tula region, near one of the reservoirs in the Aleksinsky district, people died from a lightning strike on the beach. This was announced on July 14 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that a procedural check has been organized upon the incident to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy. The beach area is also being explored.

According to the Izvestia source, three people, including one child, were killed as a result of the strike.

"A total of seven people were injured by lightning. Two were taken to the Aleksinsky hospital, one of them is in serious condition," the source said.

In July last year, one person was killed and three injured as a result of a lightning strike in the Patriot Park near Moscow. One of the three victims, a 67-year-old man, suffered clinical death.
