Two pastry chefs died in a fire on the territory of a gingerbread factory in Moscow. This was reported on June 9 by a source of Izvestia.

"On the evening of June 8, a fire broke out in the room. Pastry decorators aged 24 and 36 were poisoned by carbon monoxide and died on the spot. Their bodies were found 1-2 hours later," the source said.

Another 28-year-old employee was also injured. She was taken to the hospital with poisoning from gorenje products and released after receiving treatment.

It is noted that the fire area was 30 sq. m. The preliminary cause was a short circuit in the electrical wiring. An inspection is currently underway at the scene of the incident.

On the eve of the death of two people as a result of a fire on Permskaya Street in the east of Moscow, a criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of labor protection requirements resulting in the death of two persons by negligence").
