Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as view a map of military operations for September 23 in the Izvestiya piece.

It is noted that the units of the "West" group of forces have improved their tactical position, the Southern group has improved its position on the front line, and in the area of responsibility of the "Center" the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 440 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, four vehicles, 155-millimeter self-propelled artillery unit Krab.

In addition, operational-tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' groups of troops hit accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 135 areas.

The Defense Ministry added that air defense assets shot down an ATACMS operational-tactical missile, three Neptune long-range guided missiles, two Hammer guided aerial bombs, a HIMARS rocket and 35 aircraft-type drones.

A total of 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,124 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,338 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,458 multiple rocket launchers, 15,085 field artillery and mortars, and 26,401 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
