Russian storm troopers told about the battles near Chasovy Yar
Fighting for the liberation of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) continues: the displacement of the Ukrainian army will allow the Russian Armed Forces to liberate not only the town, but also the surrounding settlements. This was told to Izvestia on September 23 by servicemen from the assault units.
As the Russian military noted, one of the main conditions of service in an assault unit is the ability to take the upper hand over feelings and fear, because in a situation where a munition or a drone is flying in your direction, one cannot lose one's cool.
"[Ukrainian drone like] 'Baba Yaga'! I went straight into a stupor the first time I heard it. It's like meeting a bear in the forest: your head works, but your legs don't obey. The guys helped me, pushed me down, let me wake up, and after that I started to move normally," a serviceman of the Tiger assault group of the volunteer corps of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Protas shared his experience.
According to the Russian fighters, the city's neighborhoods have recently been increasingly under fire from incendiary mixtures dropped from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). To work effectively in such conditions, the volunteers noted, it is necessary to master camouflage skills.
"Disguise is above all else. If you are well camouflaged, it will be difficult for UAVs to find you and, accordingly, to work on you with artillery," emphasized a serviceman of the special purpose unit (SPU) "Lynx" of the volunteer corps with the call sign Siava in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Zimenkin.
Earlier, on September 11, fighters of the volunteer unit "Tiger" told about the situation in the area of Chasov Yar. For example, servicemen have to move at high speed on the roads, because the AFU can attack with drones at any moment.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
