The family of TV presenter Alexander Maslyakov has filed a police report after the grave of the deceased at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow was vandalized. This was reported on September 22 by the International Union of KVN.
It is specified that the cemetery administration joined the appeal of Maslyakov's relatives.
"The cross has been restored, and all necessary measures have been taken to ensure security in the cemetery," - stated in the Telegram-channel KVN.
On the same day it was reported that a vandal came to Maslyakov's grave, ripped out the cross, scattered flowers and moved photos. The attacker was detained by law enforcement agencies. According to Telegram-channel "112", the guy was under the influence of drugs.
Alexander Maslyakov was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery on September 11. About the death of the KVN host at the 83rd year of life became known on September 8.
Condolences to the family and loved ones were expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as actors Dmitry Kharatyan, Sergei Svetlakov and Dmitry Nagiyev, People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Tsiskaridze, State Duma deputy Nikolai Valuev, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk and others.
