The Unified State Examination (USE) in Russian language will remain a compulsory subject for all specialties in the list of entrance tests for admission to universities. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science in its Telegram channel on Saturday, September 21.
Also, the requirement to provide entrants with the results of three exams (in some cases - four) and the right of the university to form the final list of the USE in the specialty is preserved.
According to the Ministry, the list of entrance tests will include: the Russian language, a profile subject from the list of mandatory and 1-2 profile subjects from the remaining in the list.
It is specified that pupils of graduating classes should decide on the disciplines on which they will take the USE, until February 1, 2025.
Earlier, July 29, it was reported that 77% of teachers surveyed by MAXIMUM Education consider the opportunity to enter a prestigious university from any region and with any income the main advantage of the USE. The next most popular answer (58%) was the objectivity of evaluation of students' knowledge.
