Two children poisoned to death by an unknown substance in Krasnoyarsk region

In Nazarovsky district of Krasnoyarsk region a criminal case has been opened after two children died as a result of poisoning by an unknown substance. This was reported on Saturday, September 21, by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the region.

It is specified that on September 21 this year, the investigative authorities received a report about the death of two children who were admitted with signs of poisoning.

As established by the investigation, in the village of Krasnaya Sopka Nazarovsky district lived a family with four minor children. In the morning, all members of the family felt ill, after which they sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, a six-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy died.

It is known that the day before the whole family had consumed chicken and dumplings purchased at a local store.

On this incident a criminal case was initiated under part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or sale of goods and products that do not meet the safety requirements of life or health of consumers, causing the death of two persons by negligence").

"At present, the investigators are examining the scene of the incident, all the circumstances of what happened are being established. Parents and two children are in hospital in serious condition", - stated in the message of the Department in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on September 16, employees of the IC of Moscow detained the CEO of a private organization, which produced and supplied spoiled food products to the social center in the city. It is specified that the number of people who sought medical help with food poisoning has increased to 31 people, a total of 50 persons were recognized as victims in the case.
